Section 1

Scope and International Compliance

This Privacy Policy explains how SenC collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data. We are committed to complying with the following data protection regulations:

KVKK

Law No. 6698 on Protection of Personal Data

Republic of Turkey — Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu. Governs the processing of personal data of Turkish residents by data controllers operating in Turkey.

General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679

European Union — Applies to the processing of personal data of EU/EEA residents. Provides rights including access, erasure, portability, and objection.

California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018

State of California, USA — Grants California residents rights to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of their personal information.

Section 2

Categories of Data Processed

User-Provided Data: Profile info (username, age, gender), uploaded images and videos, voting preferences (swipes), and Direct Messages (DM).
Automatically Collected Data: Device identifiers, IP address, operating system version, app version, and app interaction statistics (e.g., session duration, feature usage).
Location Data: We do not track your GPS location in the background. Location data is only processed if you voluntarily tag a place in the "Places" category via our API integration.
Authentication Data: Email address or Sign in with Apple / Google token used solely for account authentication. Passwords are never stored in plain text.

Legal Basis (GDPR Art. 6): Data is processed on the basis of (a) your consent, (b) performance of a contract (providing the service), and (c) our legitimate interests in preventing fraud and ensuring platform safety.

Section 3

AI Moderation and Data Security

All User-Generated Content (UGC) is scanned in real-time by AI (Gemini AI) solely to detect illegal content such as nudity, violence, hate speech, or doxxing. This processing is carried out on the basis of our legal obligation to prevent harm and comply with applicable laws.

All data is transmitted over TLS/HTTPS encryption. Stored data is protected using industry-standard encryption at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

Section 4

Data Retention and Deletion

Active Feed: Posts remain in the voting feed for a duration based on your subscription tier.
Archive: After the voting period ends, images are moved to an encrypted private archive visible only to you.
Inactive Accounts: Personal data associated with accounts inactive for more than 24 months may be anonymized or deleted.
Account Deletion: You can use the "Delete Account" button within the app to submit a permanent deletion request. All personal data is irreversibly removed from our servers within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Third-Party Sharing

🔒 WE DO NOT SELL YOUR PERSONAL DATA.

Under the CCPA, we do not "sell" personal information as defined by California law. Data is shared only with the following categories of essential service providers, under strict contractual safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable):

Cloud Infrastructure: Google Firebase / Google Cloud — for database, authentication, storage, and push notifications.
AI Moderation: Google Gemini AI — for real-time content safety scanning.
Payment Processing: Apple App Store & Google Play — subscription billing is managed entirely by the respective platform. SenC does not store your payment details.
Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics only — no personal identifiers are shared.

GDPR Note: Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with GDPR Chapter V, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.

Section 6

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided personal data without verifiable parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that data.

Report a Minor: If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us immediately at support@aquaguardwd.com — we will act within 24 hours.

🚫 Objection (GDPR) Object to processing based on legitimate interests.

⛔ Opt-Out of Sale (CCPA) We do not sell data — this right is automatically fulfilled.
